Operational Responsibilities
- >Operate and support production SMS Firewall environments handling live telecom traffic.
- >Contribute to the migration of distributed Erlang-based SMS Firewall nodes into Kubernetes pods.
- >Build and maintain Docker and Podman images for telecom application environments.
- >Deploy, configure, upgrade, and validate SMS Firewall environments on RHEL servers.
- >Implement change requests and bug fixes in Erlang-based SMS Firewall components.
- >Handle L2 support, incident response, failure recovery, and post-issue validation.
- >Develop Bash automation scripts for deployment, installation, and operational workflows.
Operational Scope
- >Carrier-grade SMS Firewall traffic paths
- >Distributed Erlang nodes and BEAM runtime behavior
- >RHEL servers, Kubernetes pods, Docker/Podman images, and Linux services
- >M3UA connectivity, MariaDB dependencies, networking, and firewall node health
- >Nagios monitoring, alert response, log analysis, and incident isolation
- >Deployment validation across test, staging, and customer production environments
Incident and Troubleshooting Scope
- >M3UA connectivity issues
- >Distributed Erlang node failures
- >SMS filtering and delivery behavior regressions
- >Linux service, storage, networking, and database issues
- >Deployment safety and post-deployment validation
- >Root cause analysis for customer-reported production incidents
